“I enjoy helping people and giving them a voice. I also enjoy the legal challenges of each case. I strongly believe in the principle of fairness – that people should be treated fairly. That means being treated with respect and dignity. In a claims process, people are often not treated with respect.”

Krista has been a personal injury lawyer for over 15 years and is well known in Vancouver. She specializes in motor-vehicle accidents that involve drivers, passengers and pedestrians. Her practice also includes slip and fall incidents, insurance denials  and civil assaults.

Krista is both strategic and engaging. This unique set of qualities earned her Georgia Straight’s “Best Lawyer When an Accident Strikes” five years in a row in their annual “Best of Vancouver” edition. She’s also been voted, “#1 lawyer in Vancouver” in the Vancouver Courier’s, “Stars of Vancouver 2018”.

Krista gets involved in every stage of a claim and litigation process – from investigating and coordinating rehabilitation and medical benefits, to legal strategy and solutions.

Although, she represents clients at all levels of court in British Columbia—Provincial Court, Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal—as well as before administrative tribunals, she’s such a skilled negotiator that many of her claims are settled out of court.

She’s past President of the Trial Lawyers Association of BC and frequently speaks at professional and community seminars.

As well, Krista has Co-Chaired two conferences for the Trial Lawyers Association: in 2011, “Wheels, Wings, Water and More: Non-automobile Injury Claims”; in 2013, “The Civil Trial Toolkit”.

In addition, she has authored two articles: “Women in the Courts of Placentia District, 1757 – 1823”, for the Osgoode Society for Canadian Legal History; “Getting the best out of a civil jury trial”, Canadian Lawyer Magazine online.

“After my accident Krista and her team took a lot of pressure off of me dealing with ICBC and ensuring I was getting physio and rehab without any out of pocket expenses. They guided me through the process and consulted with me regularly to make sure I understood my options. Ultimately they negotiated a fair settlement for me and I was glad not to have to go through the inconvenience of a trial.”
